December 2012- July 4, 2013

I know we are poor excuses for bloggers. Here we are with more time in our life than we will have in the future and you get about 2 posts per year. But hey better than nothing. And yes, Rory and Emily if it weren't for your blog I wouldn't have many pictures to use, so thank you for always taking pictures when we do fun things.

December:

First I will go back a bit to Christmas. My mom came to enjoy us kids in Provo this year. Made it nice not having to travel especially since that was when I was getting my promotion from receptionist to Business Manager, and needed all the training I could get, and taking work off would have been hard.

But in all the crazy changes going on, Kipp and I still found time to make a homemade gingerbread house. I learned that Kipp is a better icicle maker than I am. But I am pretty proud of this little guy.

When mom got to town for the holidays we went and strolled City Creek Mall in Salt Lake, tried a little greek restaurant and then went to the Zoo lights.

It was cold enough, even though there was little to no snow, that we needed some hot cocoa to warm us up. Thanks mom for the purchase, it was very satisfying!

On Christmas day we had Rory, Emily and Madelyn over to open presents and enjoy the holiday. Madelyn was so well behaved, and so cute.

And what's Christmas without stockings..Yes Kipp and I are the smart ones... we made our stockings bigger than everyone else, bigger = more presents right?
And whats christmas without a little bit of gaming from the boys....Boys never do seem to grow up, all they want to do on holidays is play video games.

January:

In January we were going to go skiing/snowboarding. I have only been once before, and I was nervous. Rory and Emily and Emily's brother Pete were going up the same day so we thought we could join them. By the time we got up to Sundance, I chickened out. So instead I became a babysitter, and let Emily and Rory have a few runs together.
Kipp still enjoyed a nice day on the slopes.

Between January and July, I had my 24th birthday. Saint Patty's day we spent with Rory and Emily eating Cornbeef, cabbage, potatoes, and green Kool-aid. For  Easter we spent it with mom, Rory, Emily, and Madelyn at their house hiding eggs and enjoying spring.

Mom and her friend Carolyn came down for Woman's conference. While they were here I took the oppotunity to have us all go to the Tulip festival up at Thanksgiving point. It was beautiful! I hope to go back again and spend the day roaming the gardens.

July:

Finally summer has arrived. We celebrated Kipp's 24th birthday on the 3rd. And then on the 4th we got together with Rory and Emily and went to the Colonial festival.

Kipp wasn't behaving himself so we put him into the stocks until he promised to be good. Rory and Emily put him there being the fine soldiers they are.

After the flash back it was time for our BBQ and games until dark. Game of choice was ladder ball, and a frisbee game.
Madelyn decided to go play with the neighbor kids instead of us. Emily had to go get her and bring her back to our patio.
It's not the 4th until you play with a sparklier. And then we had the neighborhood shooting off fireworks up close and personal.

Then the Stadium of Fire started.
