For Thanksgiving we went to visit my mom in Oregon. On the way we stopped in Boise to finish up our Christmas shopping done. After our trip to the big city, we went about our way to Ontario to see Mom, Rory and Emily.
We all helped prepare the Thanksgiving dinner. I made the green bean casserole and the salad. Kipp made the mashed potatoes. Mom made the stuffing and turkey and most of everything, Emily the Frog-eyed salad( Kipp's Favorite dish) and Rory took care of carving the turkey. It was a good day. Sadly we forgot to take a picture of the final creation, we were too hungry.
The rest of the break we played numerous games, including a few rigorous rounds of Twister. The pictures explain the fun we had. And I do believe Rory was the over-all dominating competitor.
Another game that was played was called Ninja Attack...This is were you stand in a circle and take turns trying to hit another persons hand in one fluid movement. After your movement, you are frozen in that position until your next turn. Last Ninja standing wins.
The morning after Thanksgiving the family went to a plant nursery where there was a wreath making class. We made a beautiful wreaths. This is Kipp's and mine.
After wreath making we went to join my Aunt and Uncle (who live nearby), my 5 cousins and their families for the afternoon. Kipp and all the boys got to go pheasant/quail hunting on my Uncles property. There wasn't much luck that day but it let the boys get out and play.
Now we are just waiting for finals to be over, and Christmas break to come so that we might get to enjoy another holiday together, with family, creating memories.

The Rest of October
Well the rest of the month has gone by super fast. We were pleasantly visited by Kathleen's very good friends one day. Annie and Courtney and Kathleen got to catch up on one another's lives and shared an afternoon together. We carved our pumpkins, trying to figure out what to cut out was the hardest part. Kudos to my wife for her awesome moon/face pumpkin.
This past week has been midterms, but to our surprise we didn't have any midterms. So this thursday Mother and Father Stodtmeister came down to drop off some things we had left at their home. We also acquired a .22 rifle so we have something to do on the weekends here in Rexburg. So we went shooting this weekend, went to our ward Halloween Party, and found Kathleen a sweet ride she can learn on.
Nice paint job right?! If only our car had sweet white tires...

October has come
Last week we decided to attend a free David Osmond concert, it was so good we left half way through. So this weekend we chose to do something a little more enjoyable. On Friday we attended classic movie night on campus. It was a pretty funny movie, "Take me out to the ball game" it had Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra.
Saturday after a morning of homework we got out and went to the Pumpkin patch. We found two gems, we will post pictures of the finished Jack-O-Lantern next time. After the excursion to the pumpkin patch we ate lunch at Yummy House Chinese, and boy was it ever yummy! With full bellies we hit up a thrift store. Later that night we went with our neighbors to a Corn Maze. It was very dark and was fun until some little punks jumped out of the corn and scared the poop out of me. Luckily I had a strong man to hold on to (even though I think he screamed a little too). But all in all it was an October fun-filled day.

Family Time
The past couple of weeks we have pretty much gone to school. But when we do catch a break we do enjoy one another's company very much. So this week Kathleen chose our activity on Monday and the activity before I got to choose. This week we decided to go get snow cones from the Snoasis. Kathleen got tiger's blood and I got what is called pink lady. We did so in honor of Rory and Emily.
The week before we decided to go hike "R" mountain. It was a gruesome journey but with Kathleen giving me a piggy back ride all the way up, we managed to make it to the top. We enjoyed its delightful view of the city of Rexburg.

Life in Rexburg
So we are now settled in Rexburg, just getting our home ready for the semester to begin. Here are some photos for you to enjoy...
Our kitchen
Our delightfully stylish couches
We decided to go on an adventure before school started, so we went camping for a night to try out all our sweet camping gear. We found a great spot just outside of Rexburg, not too far away. We enjoyed out pizza bagels cooked in tin foil over the fire and of course the only real reason we both like camping...the smores and staring at the fire.
Our new tent..its fits only 2
When we got home from camping we decided to go out and get a few things from Idaho Falls. We ended up getting a some stuff from bed bath and beyond, kohl's, and target. The crown jewel of the night was getting a t.v.! We are very blessed to have been given enough gift cards to get one..now lets hope it lasts a long long time.

We went and we are back
We went to Cancun for our honeymoon!! We spent time on the beach, swimming with dolphins, releasing baby turtles, and enjoying the buffet every meal of the day. We both got burnt and both gained weight. We loved it. We enjoyed getting caught in the rain the pina coladas, seriously that is what we did. You could say Cancun was our "escape".
So one day we went to Chichen Itza "Chicken pizza" and enjoyed the sights and even went to a natural underground pool and a 5 hour bus ride to end it all. I especially enjoyed the look on Kathleen's face when we went to the water park and slid down the biggest slide. Is she fearless? Yes....

Soakin up the sun
Chichen Itza
All in all, we wish we had stayed a bit longer...and knew spanish. Does anyone have sunscreen?
