Warm weather already?

It was only March and already were enjoying some very nice warm spring days. And this little man finally got to wear shorts and because he is so blonde, a hat is always necessary.

The biggest change in our life right now other than sitting unassisted is the addition of solid foods. Beck loves to eat, as you can tell by his cheeks. I think Kipp's new favorite activity is to feed Beck, he just loves it!

We have spent a lot of time in our back yard already. I love that we have grass and I do not have to walk to the park to let Beck play. The following pictures are just some hilarious looks Beck gave me, his little personality is developing so quickly.

We are so fortunate to have been given so many adorable hand-me-downs. Beck is one well dressed baby.

Grandma Jo came to visit during her spring break and enjoy the nice weather with us in Henderson. We mainly relaxed but one day we decided to drive past the Las Vegas Temple and then take a nice walk around the Clark County Wetland Preserve.

Beck was captivated with Grandma's glasses and didn't want to smile for the camera.

Later in the week Kipp had a day off of school, so we ventured down to the strip to see some of the fun casinos and get a good walk. We started at Treasure Island, unfortunately they no longer do pirate shows but the pirate ship was still fun to see.

We also walked to the Bellagio and saw the botanical garden. Don't mind how large I look in these photos. The camera did seem to add 10lbs to my arms.

Beck had so many colors, new things, and people to look at that he was hard to hold and get to look at the camera but here are the best photos we could get of the family.

A 19lb baby is hard to hold even if they aren't distracted by so may new things, but he is so cute. Just look at those rolls who could resist so much cute chunk... And I'm referring to Beck's rolls not Grandma's, nor my rolls.

It was so fun to have mom around and to take her to explore places I had not yet visited.

The Oregon Coast

I am still not the best at posting things punctually, so a rough recap is as good as it gets. Dad flew Beck and I to Coos Bay for a little over a week at the end of February. We enjoyed Grandpa's birthday, eating some great food, seeing the old stomping grounds, and celebrating my birthday. All in all it was a great trip. We somehow escaped without having Grandma Sherri in any pictures. Next trip we will make sure she ends up in a few.

Grandpa took a good amount of time off to spend with Beck and I. Beck just loved playing with him!

But on the few occasions it was just Beck and I in the house we managed to keep entertained and practiced our sitting up.

Not only did Dad and I celebrate our birthdays, but Beck celebrated his 5months of life. We often stretched out by the fireplace as it was a bit rainy during our stay.

One night to keep Beck entertained Grandpa turned on cartoons. He no longer cared about his book but was enthralled with Spongebob Square Pants... He is his fathers child.
With all the fun and excitement everyday, Beck has a tendency to play until he passed out, literally.

The trip was a success, and a lot of fun ending with a trip to Bandon to see the Coquille River meet the ocean. It was Beck's first experience with the ocean, or any large body of water for that matter. Based on his expression I would say he thought it was very nice and a bit chillier than Las Vegas.
